Behind Books and Cats
We are a family owned business. Owner and founder is Brea Ruddy. CEO and co-owner is her husband, Chad Ruddy. Manager is their oldest son, Jae. Their youngest son, Braedin is still in high school. Mort (not pictured here) is eight and more dog than cat.
Books and Cats has been Brea's dream for over a decade. Brea has volunteered at several rescues and humane societies since high school. Brea and her children have fostered over 30 cats, many with special needs. Brea has a degree as a veterinary technician and in digital marketing, and is currently pursuing a degree in writing. Brea is also a published author with 9 books published. She has taught courses, classes, and spoken on the publishing industry, marketing, becoming a professional writer, and more. Brea has also had cats since the age of 6, and everyone who knows her knows that reading, writing, and cats are her passions. Chad is more of a dog person, but loves Brea. Jae and Braedin, are on Brea's side.
